cheese with that?
i like horner.
or, at least i did.
not sure why, but i just didn't like it when he signed with astana. i thought it was tacky. whatever, he can do what he wants.
but this, this is just poor form. what a world-class whiney baby he has turned into! maybe it's the levi rubbing off on him. seriously, chris? you have a freaking broken collar bone, and you a bitching about not being on the olympic team? guess what? even if they selected you, you wouldn't be there.
you have a broken collar bone.
not only would'nt you be there, but the person in your spot wouldn't have been training for the event. so, it actually worked out ok, huh?
go ahead and be salty you didn't get picked, but what is the point of blabbing off to the media about it?

The selection was made before he broke his collarbone. And I think most would agree he'd make a much much better choice than McCartney. Seriously. But I agree - whining about it is not cool, and not very Horner.
J-Mac is a nice guy.
Horner is no longer as cool as I thought he was. This was a low ball move and seems to follow a pattern that I was previously unaware of.
I have a longsleeve autographed skinsuit available w/ his autograph.
Whiner.
DNF:
Jason McCartney (United States)
Good choice...
As Steven pointed out...Horner wouldn't have been behind Kelly Benefits lead out if he had been selected for the Olympics. He would have already been in Asia.
All the Americans dropped the ball in Beijing anyway, so who cares?
(Except McCartney who did some good work on the front...oddly enough they called him Patrick McCartney on Australian TV)
jmac DNF'd cuz he was the work horse pulling back the break that levi didn't manage to put himself in...
there is no way horner would've done that. (he actually says so in the VN article).
...of course, he might have made that break. which says more about levi really, than it does about jmac...
